Should one go running after dentist visit? It has been a very tiring week, and this morning I went to the dentist. Nothing special, and just routine clean which necessitated a small local anesthesia. The teeth now feel great but it took about 3 hours for this supposedly small anesthesia to fade. As I had my mouth back, I felt generally tired but still wanted to go for a run. There are days where we are just too exhausted and it’s best to rest. The body needs to recover sometimes. It also depends on the type of dental work being performed. If I had some tooth removed or a more complicated procedure I would most likely not have done anything else. Today’s visit left me with low energy, but that’s all. If I had to abstain from exercise every time I feel tired I would not do much sports.
Running after dentist visit: a good idea?
I think it’s important that we try to go out and get some physical activity unless we really have to rest or we really need to do something else. I ran slow, but so what? 4 miles in and the pace was decent. Now that running after dentist visit is done it feels good, better than before going.
